For a woman in Canada today, she can be whatever she wants to be, but back then,
women were stuck at home when her father or husband went out to work to earn money for a living.
I am going to tell you about: Edith Pechey, Ogino Ginko and Sophia Jex-Blake. These are the first few women in medicine.
These are the first few women in their countries to earn a medical degree and become doctors. They didn't let anything get in their way to do something that they believed in. Back then men were the only ones that could earn a medical degree, but these fantastic young women proved them wrong!
